Project
A much required hall for alms - “daana shallawa” - with religion inspired minimalism.
Being tightly enwrapped within the busy suburban context of Colombo, the assignment strives to achieve a healthy discontinuity from it yet reach a higher functional purpose through the building’s form, volume, spaces, finishes, materials and colours etc.
With the use of simulated illumination; interior spaces and the surrounding, outspreads their serenity and placidness furthermore by sundown, transforming its aura to a reformed frequency.
